Students may dance in another level based upon their ability and their teacher’s professional opinion within a certain reason. This change would need to be approved before the event to make sure that our capacity limits are still in line.  Students must audition for scholarships in the appropriate age division. Dancers may audition in a higher level but never in a lower workshop level.

  • Mini Division was created to give our youngest dancers a chance to attend a one day convention typically Saturday and compete for scholarships in their own age division. Classes are on one day only. Workshop Fee includes a pass for 1 parent into the mini room only. Given at Registration.
  • Minis may be combined into the junior level if attendance in city does not permit separate minis class.
  • Mini Plus dancers are dancers who are Mini age that wish to dance for the entire weekend.  They can dance in either the Mini or Junior room.  Plus audition in the Mini room for scholarships since they are still the Mini age level. Convention fee is the same for a Junior dancer.
  • Levels may be combined due to hotel space and attendance in city.
  • For dancers who wish to dance in a higher age division, you may do so without changing your band (with the exception of Minis).  We do not do this online because we keep dancers all banded according to their age for scholarship purposes.  This change does need to be approved before the event to make sure our capacity limits are still in line.
Observers
  • For this season, we will not be offering observers in class to maximize space in our Junior/Pre-Teen/Teen/Senior levels.
  • Teachers will be given the opportunity to receive 1-2 Free Parent Chaperone bands in our Junior & Pre-Teen levels.  The amount of Parent Chaperone bands is based on the Studio’s Registration amount.

  • Teachers or Studio Owners who wish to observe classes must pay the teacher rate!
  • Please no excessive noise or talking during the classes.
  • No Videotaping during the classes. Still photos may be taken.
  • Mini Observers gives you entrance into the Ballroom.  It does not guarantee you a seat in the ballroom.  Please do not bring in Dream Duffel Bags, Costuming, Large Dance Bags, Blankets on the Floor.  This is all to give priority to the space to the Dancers to Dance.
